Business A Stunt

There are a lot of similarities between a business and performing any stunt. Well as the earlier business men are considered as the serious ones and having no coincidence with the outer world like stunts etc. They consider it the work of foolish and immature people but whether they agree or not in any way they are performing a stunt only.

Well this is the Theory Given by me.

“Business is a pure form of stunt.”

As all of us know the stunts men are always known as the crazy guys and beyond the world but the same are the businessmen.

Now to prove the statement mentioned above there are some facts and similarities in business as well as stunts.

Basis Of Similarities Business Stunts
Man who performs Businessmen or the smart people Stunt men or the craziest smart people
Capital May be building, machinery etc. Bike, car, or even their own bodies.
Idea Comes from market in form of pre-existing firms or any new innovations as they are genius. Comes from either the earlier performed stunts or a completely new stunt as they are crazy.
Power Fuel, electricity and personal efforts  etc. Fuel and personal efforts and sometimes electricity as well
Consequences If they fail, they don’t just lose their earning but others earnings and lives as well. If they fail may result in a life time inability or even death.
The safe side Can be taken as doing partnerships or insurance but still it cannot be covered fully as when the loss happens you have to bear some of it. Can be taken by using various safety gadgets but still when you fall something will be damaged and if you are insured lesser chance to pay.
Consequences of Safety measures Safety measures as partnerships can help you protect but they also make the process slow as decision making becomes a long process. As you use safety gadgets it decreases the flexibility and as more and more you use it the possibility to perform the stunt perfectly decreases.
Maximum Destruction The last recession in the whole world is the best example of a business accident. No one knows how much loss the world suffered and how many people committed suicide due to the financial crisis. Where as in stunting there can’t be anything bigger than 2 Mig plane colliding together in a British Air Show stunt. The approximate damage to the property was 300 crores and both the pilots survived.

So I think now the point is pretty clear that the consequences of Business Adventure are far more serious than the stunts. Hence to conclude, the businessmen have to be extremely vigilant and trained to fulfil their roles. The mishaps in business settings not only are harmful to the leaders but for all the related parties. So this famous line should be there outside every corporate office rather than stunting places and shows:

The Stunts Performed Here Are by Experts Please Don’t Try This.”

Few of them were:
• The qualities which makes you successful in your life, if you identify them sooner, you will gain success in the early stages of life. And if you are not able to identify those qualities, you will tend to commit mistakes and the learning will follow. The choice will always be yours.
• Girls are joining their Father’s business at such early age is the identity of the New India..! The Young India..! Happy to know that Girls are taking this decision.
• Always work in the teams. Be a good leader. Give credit to all the team members when the team achieves success. When team fails, take the responsibility being a leader instead of blaming each others. Motivate the team members to work towards the betterment. Success will follow.
• Many times the support will not be there. You will not get good seniors and bosses, many times the junior will not cooperate, and the working environment may not be good. Do not give up. Keep working towards the better tomorrow. Always keep the bigger picture in mind.
• Have positive and effective communication skills. How you speak, what you speak, when you speak will matter a lot in your working environment. Reply to Mr. Mahesh Murthy

So Mr. Mahesh Murthy, I read your note about Jiah Khan’s suicide and how the ‘poor Pancholi kid’ should not be blamed for the consequences that he most probably did not foresee. I’m in agreement with almost everything of what you said, however there was one issue that piqued my interest and hence this attempt at a reply.

That one issue I’m referring to is your trivialization of love.

“No one grows up with a right to be loved.” Does this include the right to love your own self? As I see it, loving yourself is a very important part of living a “full” life. And I do believe that we grow up with this right. I think there is a simple hierarchy of love that we all should understand and accept.

  1. Love yourself, for who you are and for having the opportunity of living this life.
  2. Love each other, as in all the people you encounter and subsequently become a part of your life.
  3. Love this world, for it is ours to treasure.

Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it?

“Perhaps the best thing we can do as individuals and parents is tell the kids around that marriage isn’t the ultimate goal.” Well then what is the ultimate goal? Voila, LOVE <3

“Life is compulsory. Marriage is an optional extra.” But..what about love?! Shouldn’t love be compulsory??

The social custom that u refer to, is a wedding, and I would like to point out that a wedding and marriage aren’t quite the same thing.

A wedding maybe,” just a social custom where a bunch of old people shower rice on your head and believe they’re giving you their permission (or direction, in some cases) to sleep with someone”, but a marriage is supposed to be the union of two souls which lasts unto eternity, well at least that’s what our mythology and religious scriptures would like us to believe. In the present world however, I will have to agree with you regarding the impermanence of relationships/love. However, this isn’t sufficient reason for abandoning love altogether!

I believe that marriage as a concept has been glorified through the centuries for a very specific reason. To make us understand about the importance of love, and about having a framework like family to support, cherish and nurture throughout our brief stint in this mortal world.

Having a successful career, working to make your dreams come true are a part of loving your own self and your ambitions. But, true selfless love towards another person and life in general, I believe, can actually give meaning to our existence. Maybe these are just ramblings of a hopeless romantic, but after reading your note I felt an eerie sense of loveless-ness that I thought should be addressed.

And finally, yes ”let’s stop glorifying suicide in the name of unrequited love“, But let’s not recommend a life void of love as well.

With Love,

Abishek A Ganesh

The onslaught of extreMEME

In recent times the internet as a whole and social media in particular has seen a burgeoning rise in the creation of ‘MEMEs’.

What is a MEME?

An Internet meme is a concept that spreads from person to person via the Internet. The word meme was coined by Richard Dawkins in his 1976 book ‘The Selfish Gene’, as an attempt to explain the way cultural information spreads; internet memes are a subset of this, specific to the culture and environment of the internet.

An Internet meme may take the form of an image, hyperlink, video, picture, website, or hashtag. It may be just a word or phrase, including an intentional misspelling. These small movements tend to spread from person to person via social networks, blogs, direct email, or news sources. They may relate to various existing Internet cultures or subcultures, often created or spread on sites such as 4chan, Reddit and numerous others.

Though this definition tries to include various types of content, that is created and disseminated through popular social media websites, internet memes are evolving as you read this.

So chances are, if you have been active on any of the social media websites, that you would’ve caught a glimpse of these popular memes by now. However, if you have been living under a non-digital rock and are mystified by this new phenomenon, I would suggest you go here.

The focus of this particular post is on some of these memes/images; that I have stumbled across while surfing the vast ocean of user-generated content on the internet.

Personally, I found some of these memes/images to be a tad bit extreme. Now by extreme I mean that, some of these are a gross exaggeration, some are meant to induce guilt and some are just downright ridiculous.

Presenting, my treasured collection of EXTREMEMEs!

  1. Don’t lose your pen, you will die:

This. This is the exact reason why I took up this task of listing ridiculous and over-the-top images which I came across.

Remember folks, images like this one do not suddenly appear from thin webspace-air! It has been created, i.e. someone has invested precious time and thought to come up with this gem. I do not want to meet the guy who created this. Ever.

The reason why I harbor so much negativity is due to the fact that the ‘Devil is in the detail’.

Skinny = Ugly? Okay.

Ugly = No love? I see a pattern here.

Depression = sickness = death? Wow, infallible logic wouldn’t you agree?!

And the culprit, the PEN! I think I lost a few thousand brain cells trying to understand what-how-whyinthenameofgod!!

A bit extreme, yes?

2. Mother’s love is selfless love:

Firstly, no one likes to be told what to do. So meme creators, please refrain from this habit of adding footnotes asking people to “share” or “like” any particular post. No we won’t.

This is pretty much the shoddiest piece of work I have laid my lazy eyes upon. For the record, I love my mum! And I completely agree with the message portrayed above. The execution however, leaves much to be desired.

For goodness’ sake the woman has a catheter and an intravenous drip attached but continues fanning her son (who seems to have had one too many a drink)?

I’m just livid at the fact that to show how selfless a mother can be, the creator of this particular image, chose this style. I mean, come on!

3. Importance of teeth- Proud Dentist

So when I chanced upon this beautiful collage of Indian actresses, I was both disgusted and shocked for a terrifyingly long minute! The caption that went with this image was “Importance of teeth- Proud Dentist”. That is when I decided, that I had another entry for my collection of extrememes.

Icon comedian George Carlin once said, “Pride should be reserved for something you achieve or obtain on your own, not something that happens by accident of birth. Being Irish isn’t a skill… it’s a genetic accident. You wouldn’t say I’m proud to be 5’11”; I’m proud to have a pre-disposition for colon cancer.”

Adding to that wise snippet, can we try the same logic and show these actresses without eyes?! Then we can see the importance of Opthamologists?

I rest my humble case.

4. Iron Man = Fe Male

Now folks, here we have an example of what happens when a person with software skills of a 20 year old but the IQ of a 6 year old decides to create a meme.

Enough said.

5. I hate cancer:

So if this isn’t extreme, I do not know what extreme is.

Seriously, I just fail to understand what the motive/objective is behind this hideous piece of work!

The only motive seems to be, to scare people into sharing this morbid meme.

“Ignore if you want your parents to die of it”- I started a clap routine just after reading that line.
It takes special skills and an absolute disregard for feelings, to come up with such heartwarming copy.

To the person who created this ghastly oddity- You sir, are an abomination!
